Now we’re looking for a few self-motivated, engaging, and highly collaborative sales individuals to help spread the word about our network of video channels,build strong client relationships and drive revenues. While working in the advertising industry’s fastest growing sector, you’ll help shape the face of one of the Web’s coolest new companies.

Account Executives make up BroadbandTV’s sales team and act as the face of the company to the advertising community. Through in-person meetings with advertisers and their agencies, AEs initiate, negotiate, and manage deals that drive revenue for BroadbandTV. Accountable by nature, they also have outstanding verbal and written communication skills, a drive to exceed established goals, and an ability to work closely with internal teams to get things done. We are looking for experienced sales individuals with established client relationships and drive to forge new ones, so that we can increase awareness about BroadbandTV within the advertising, media, and marketing community.

How you will contribute:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key agencies and clients in the entertainment, consumer electronics, telecom, CPG, auto, and other relevant categories
• Define territory strategy to ensure sustainable growth and client development
• Support BroadbandTV’s growth by driving revenue for an assigned territory
• Help shape a customer-centric sales organization that embodies candor and integrity
• Average volume of face-to-face meetings that develop a strong sales presence and drive business in an assigned territory
• Increase awareness about BroadbandTV within the advertising, media, and marketing community by evangelizing theefficacy of our platform and capabilities
• Regular account updates and revenue forecasting to management
• Negotiate deals with the client/agency community that embody a win-win framework
• Collaborate with BroadbandTV’s InsideSales and Content Distribution/Management teams to set sales strategy and build customer-centric advertising programs

Requirements:
• Client-focused approach, with good judgment about ad programs that will engage users
• Understanding of technical requirements and opportunities within web media
• Extensive network within the agency,brand, and sales community
• Steeped in pop culture and digitalmedia used by our users and clients
• Flexibility, patience, and a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic
• Strong ethical standards
• Bachelor’s degree (graduate degree a plus)
• 3-5 years demonstrated sales success(online consumer media sales preferred)
• Limited travel

BroadbandTV (BBTV) is a fast-paced media & technology company located near the Coal Harbour area of downtown Vancouver, BC. BBTV is developing distribution and monetization opportunities for video content producers, aggregators and distributors around the world.  Our current content provider partners include premium brands such as the National Basketball Association, VeneVision and Endemol.  We are experiencing rapid growth and we have been selected as a 2011 Ready To Rocket company. Marketing Magazine also recently ranked BBTV the 2nd in the list of ‘Canada’s Digital Media Companies To Watch’.

We are currently looking for Social Media experts to further assist us with establishing our VISO channels on various Social Media networks such as Facebook and Twitter. The position can be full-time, part-time, internship or contract, depending on your qualifications and the amount of your availability.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with the following capabilities:

Requirements:

  • Established power user in social media websites such as Twitter and/or Facebook with the demonstrated ability to engage your readers
  • Extensive experience with creating newsletters using platforms such as MailChimp or ConstantContact
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze social media metric and analytics across various social media platforms
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about movies, gaming or music
  • Must have a great personality and demonstrate that you can be a great team player
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking skills
  • Must demonstrate the ability to set and manage priorities judiciously
  • Excellent writing skills (e.g., blogging)
  • Nice to have: Active in social bookmarking websites such as Digg and Reddit
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML, Adobe Creative Suite and new Apps/Plugins is a plus

Duties:

  • Manage twitter accounts, tweeting, perform keyword optimization, increase our follower base, engage with our followers and build relationships
  • Manage and update our Facebook pages, increase our follower’s base and Likes on our Facebook postings, engage and generate dialogue with our fans
  • Increase the Company’s presence on other Social Media platforms
  • Create newsletters and mailing lists
  • Manage contests and giveaways
  • Assist the management team with measuring ROI of the company’s social media efforts
  • Write blog posts, perform keyword optimization, engage with our readers, build relationships with other bloggers and experts in the related domains, participating in social bookmarking websites
